Western States Police Olympics

Big daddy Mike won a gold medal...no big deal!!. He competed in the 2009 Western States Police & Fire Games in Valencia, in BJJ Submission Grappling. He had to cut some weight.... just 50 pounds!! He is so happy with this goal. His weight class was 169.9 and under. Here're some pics of the big day. We were able to go with him, Grandpas Jerry & Sharon and Amy came too. It was very stressful for the family to watch but he did OK and he is so glad he won.

This is the "Big John McCarthy" gym where he fought:

Final School Project

Third Grade 09 with Washington School on the background (1st school built in KTown)

Swedish pancakes!!

Francine and Kyle's last project for School was about the city of Kingsburg which was founded by Swedish people. They had to visit various important places of the city and they had to choose a citizen who's lived many years in Kingsburg. They picked Grandpas, so below are some pics of their work, Grandpas house in K. They bought it for $21,000!!! in 1967.
