Antelope hunting in Wyoming

The week of Oct. 1, 2008, Mike and the boys went to Wyoming with Mike's dad and brother, Brian. The boys stayed with Elder Rice's (an elder who served in our ward) family. They were awesome. We started out opening day of antelope season, and killed three antelope in a matter of 45 minutes. It was the best time ever. Special thanks to the Bill and Cindy Rice who were awesome!!!!! They even gave dad Sugar Smacks for breakfast.

After the hunt, we returned to Utah passing several historical monuments of the church where the pioneers had passed. Independence Rock contained the names of numerous pioneers, Pony Express and U.S. servicemen who had passed through the area. They had etched their names in the rock. Many of them were dated in the 1850's.

On Saturday, we went with Brian's old companion, Tim Patrick, duck hunting. After walking for about two miles through some ba_l busting swamps, we finally arrived and hunted the heck out of the ducks. Out of the five of us, we all killed our limits of 7 a piece, for a total of 35 ducks. It was the best duck hunt we had all ever been on.
